Alleo acquisition news – Amsterdam-based Alleo Acquires Home-Grown CultuurWerkt

Since its foundation in 2001 by Joop van den Ende, CultuurWerkt! (formerly Bedrijfs Cultureel Abonnement) has made it its mission to make culture more accessible to working Dutch people.

The company has since grown into a market leader in cultural activation. It collaborates with over 400 cultural partners and reaches over 100,000 employees through employers such as De Nederlandsche Bank, PostNL and Amsterdam UMC.

Founded in 2021, it’s mission is to make employment conditions transparent, flexible and personal. The platform offers solutions such as reward statements, HR software links and an AI assistant that helps employees better understand their employment conditions.

The integrated marketplace contains a wide range of providers, ranging from sports facilities and lease bikes to sustainable and cultural employment conditions. Employees are also given freedom of choice in salary components, such as extra days off, holiday pay and pension options.

Culture within employment conditions

With the acquisition of CultuurWerkt!, it's reach is expanded to more than 200,000 employees. Employers and employees can use a complete platform for employment conditions. A wide range of cultural activities is now being added, from theatre and concerts to museum visits.

The integration of CultuurWerkt! into the Alleo platform will start in February. Customers of CultuurWerkt! will retain access to the familiar offering, while they can also benefit from Alleo's offering if desired.
