Berlin-based startup telli has raised €13.1 million (US$15 million) in a Seed funding round. With this investment, the company has now raised more than €16.1 million (US$18.5 million) in total.

SUMMARY

  • Berlin-based AI startup telli has raised €13.1 million (US$15 million) in a Seed funding round.
  • telli builds AI-powered customer operations software for B2C businesses.
  • Founded in 2024, telli aims to modernize customer service by replacing outdated processes with AI-driven automation.

telli develops AI technology that helps business-to-consumer (B2C) companies manage customer-facing operations. Its platform is designed to automate customer interactions and improve service efficiency.

The funding round was led by redalpine, with participation from Mutschler, several strategic investors, and angel investors. Existing investors Cherry Ventures and Y Combinator also joined the round.

“Customer-facing operations are becoming too complex to run with the current tools alone. The next generation of consumer companies will need AI that can talk to customers, work across channels, and help teams improve the operation behind every interaction. That’s what we’re building with telli,” said Finn zur Muehlen, co-founder and CEO of telli.

“We’ve followed this space for quite some time and the telli founders are the most technically exceptional and complementary team we’ve encountered. The value voice agents will unlock across enterprise automation is immense, and we strongly believe telli is in pole position to capture the opportunity,” said Sebastian Becker, GP at redalpine.

About telli

Founded in 2024 by Seb Hapte-Selassie, Philipp Baumanns, and Finn zur Muehlen, telli helps businesses replace outdated customer service systems, such as CRMs, call centres, support tickets, queues, dashboards, and manual processes, with AI-powered customer operations. This makes customer service faster, more efficient and easier to manage.

The company says the way people communicate with businesses has changed very little over the past 20 years. Customers still mostly use phone calls, emails, SMS, online forms, and WhatsApp to contact companies.

Although businesses now support more communication channels, many still rely on old systems behind the scenes. telli aims to remove these outdated processes with AI making customer interactions smoother for both businesses and their customers.
