SUMMARY
- Evulpo, a Zurich-based EdTech startup, has raised €9.3 million in a Series A round highlighting strong confidence in its AI-powered education platform and founding team despite challenges in the VC market.
Much of the funding comes from existing investors, reflecting long-term support for Evulpo’s vision. Backers include Serpentine Ventures, Swiss family offices, and prominent entrepreneurs such as Dr Felix Grisard (HIAG Chairman), Dario Fazlic (WeFox founder), Bruno Pfister (former Swiss Life CEO), footballer Yann Sommer, and Aribeda, the family office of former UBS CEO Dr Peter Wuffli.
“The potential of our AI-driven learning platform is virtually limitless. Investors who join us today have the chance to be part of the world’s leading e-learning solution,” said Dr Christian Marty, Co-founder and CEO of Evulpo.
Founded in Zurich in 2020, Evulpo has quickly expanded since its 2022 launch, now active in seven countries, serving thousands of families and around 100 schools. With an average session length exceeding 30 minutes, it outperforms global EdTech engagement standards.

The platform provides curriculum-aligned content developed with Swiss universities, featuring explainer videos, summaries, and interactive exercises. Leveraging AI, Evulpo delivers gamified, adaptive learning paths for students, while teachers gain access to planning tools, learning analytics, and automated grading.
Academic endorsements further support its effectiveness. “Evulpo combines an AI-powered learning environment with curriculum-aligned content, effectively supporting both students and teachers,” said Prof Uschi Backes-Gellner from the University of Zurich.
Around 70% of the new funding will be used for product development. Evulpo plans to launch fully adaptive lessons that adjust to each student’s knowledge, along with inter-class gamification features and dashboards providing teachers and school leaders with actionable insights to address learning gaps.
The startup is positioning itself not just as an EdTech supplement, but as a foundational infrastructure for modern education systems. Its goal is to enhance learning outcomes, ease teacher workloads and make education more efficient. “Think of us as a digital textbook – only ten times more effective,” said Danni Li, Chief Product Officer at Evulpo.
Amid falling PISA scores, teacher shortages, and systemic inefficiencies, Evulpo seeks to provide a smart, scalable alternative in education. Earlier funding rounds included €2.4 million in angel investment and €8.2 million in a seed round, bringing the company’s total funding to over €19.9 million with the latest SeriesA.
