Where You At (WYA) funding news – London-based Where You At (WYA) Secures €3 Million in Pre-Seed Funding

Led by Tony Mallin of Star Capital, this funding round propels WYA towards its vision of becoming the “Google Maps for indoor spaces.” What makes WYA unique is its patented offline mesh system, ensuring users remain connected even in areas with weak or no phone signals. This not only enhances user safety but also empowers event organizers with crowd management tools, emergency alerts, and anonymized footfall analytics.

Since securing pre-seed funding, WYA has been on a fast track to success. In just three months, the startup has unveiled a scalable mesh network to enhance crowd management, introduced a replayable video heatmap feature, and upgraded their Meeting Points tool to version 2.0, boosting app functionality and layout options.

Impressively, WYA has clinched various awards, including a patent for its offline connectivity system, the prestigious Ordnance Survey’s Innovation Award, and a spot in Forbes Under 30 for Social Impact. Partnering with the Night Time Industry Association, the team is also exploring how their technology can aid venues in meeting Martyn’s Law, a new UK regulation on public venue security.
