SUMMARY

  • Switzerland based smart contract platform Waterfall Network has raised $11.6 million in a funding round led by Bolt's Capital, Alpha Token Capital, and Enflux.
  • Waterfall is a layer one (L1) platform designed to offer solutions for security, scalability, and decentralization to support dApp developers.

Funding Utilisation

The startup will use this funding to support Waterfall's research and development, improve the platform's infrastructure by simplifying nodes, and advance the network further.

The investment follows Waterfall Network setting a new record of 12,778 transactions per second (TPS), highlighting the protocol's ability to solve the blockchain trilemma of security, decentralization, and unlimited scalability.

Sergii Grybniak, CTO of Blue Wave and Head of Research at Waterfall said, "Waterfall's rapidly growing community of supporters and validators is a testament to the network's potential, and it's incredibly encouraging to see investors recognising that vision,".

About-Waterfall

Waterfall is a layer one (L1) platform designed to offer solutions for security, scalability, and decentralization to support dApp developers. It is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), making it easy to move decentralized applications (dApps) across platforms. It also has low hardware requirements for participants to become validators.

Waterfall recently partnered with Chainspect, a blockchain analytics platform to offer detailed performance data for investors and users. Waterfall's Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) makes it possible to run a validator node on any device, including low-cost laptops and mobile phones in the future. Earlier, Waterfall Network raised $2 million in a Pre-A funding round from ByteTrade Lab.
