VYTAL Global GmbH, based in Cologne, is a leading provider of smart reusable packaging solutions. The company has raised €14.2 million in growth funding to support its global expansion.

The investment was led by Inven Capital, a fund that helps scale climate tech companies, and NRW.Venture, a venture capital fund from NRW.BANK. Other investors include Emerald Technology Ventures, Grazia Equity, Kiko, Rubio Impact Ventures, and Chi Impact Capital.
Dr Tim Breker, Co-founder & Managing Director of Vytal said, “This new funding comes less than nine months after our last raise and reflects an incredibly successful 2024 for the Vytal team, With Inven Capital’s expertise in supporting international growth strategies, we are well-positioned to scale our impact further and make tech-enabled reusable packaging the new standard in gastronomy, events, and entertainment globally.”

It is working to move away from single-use packaging by offering a new, affordable, and scalable solution for businesses in the food, beverage, and event industries.
The new funding will improve Vytal’s technology, making reusable packaging easier and cheaper for businesses and consumers. It will also create new opportunities through brand partnerships and customer engagement. A large part of the funds will help expand Vytal’s business in the US and strengthen its presence in Europe.

In the last year, it has more than doubled its revenue and expanded internationally, adding franchise partners in countries like Albania, Greece, the UAE, and South Africa. The company also launched a new business for global consumer brands and the events industry, working with major clients such as Pepsi, UEFA Euro 2024 Fanzones, Hyrox, and Insomniac Festival Group.

It works with over 7,000 partners in 24 countries to help reduce disposable packaging waste.
