SUMMARY
- VOYA Games, a German studio focused on player-owned game economies, has raised €4.4 million to grow its first game.
Craft World, VOYA Games which saw over 240,000 players join during its testnet phase.
The funding round was co-led by 1kx and Makers Fund, with support from RockawayX and angel investors Jeff 'Jihoz' Zirlin (Co-founder of Sky Mavis) and Sébastien Borget (Co-founder & COO of The Sandbox).
“Our goal is to build a token ecosystem where games are connected through a shared player economy and culture. Craft World is our first step in that vision, already attracting over 50,000 monthly active users in its test phase. With this funding, we’ll scale our experiences, expand our user base, and grow our ecosystem, laying the groundwork for a network of interconnected games built on participation and long-term trust. We’re excited to advance this mission with the launch of Craft World later this year,” said Oliver Löffler, CEO and Founder of VOYA Games.

Their first game, Craft World, is a casual resource management game where players team up with friendly dinosaurs to rebuild civilization after a meteor wipes out humanity.
VOYA Games, based in Berlin, aims to build a token-powered ecosystem where games are connected through a shared player economy and culture, according to CEO and founder Oliver Löffler in an interview with GamesBeat.

Currently in testnet, it’s free to play on iOS, Android, and the web. As players move forward in the game, they learn about owning and trading digital assets.
So far, over 240,000 players have signed up during the testnet, with 50,000 monthly active users and 1.1 million on-chain trades.
The game includes two NFT collections that are built into its features and economy.
Craft World is set to fully launch this summer and will be the first step in VOYA Games' larger ecosystem—a connected network of games powered by the Dyno Coin utility token.
“VOYA Games not only understands the true potential of crypto but is fully committed to realising it in a way that aligns perfectly with our thesis at 1kx,” said Peter Pan of 1kx.
“They’re building a Web3 gaming ecosystem that prioritises openness and ownership, treating the game world more like a public good than a closed economy. Under Oliver Löffler’s leadership, the team brings a rare combination of technical know-how and mass-market experience, and we’re proud to support their mission to create interconnected games and experiences unified by player ownership,” added Pan.
Oliver Löffler is well known in the German gaming scene. He previously co-founded Fluffy Fairy Games with Florian Dreschner and Daniel Stammler. The studio later became Kolibri Games and was acquired by Ubisoft. Florian Dreschner is also a co-founder at VOYA Games.
