SUMMARY

  • Nokken, a UK-based maker of design-focused modular cabins, has secured investment from Limestone Capital. The deal amount was not disclosed.

The company plans to use the funds to speed up its international expansion, driving growth in Europe, the UK, and the United States, while entering new markets in Asia and Australasia.

Under the leadership of CEO Craig McDonald, Nokken offers cabins and services that help partners create experiences in natural settings—forests, mountains, and coastlines—instead of urban concrete landscapes.

Its model, adopted by forward-thinking brands like Autocamp and seen in Marriott’s acquisition of Postcard Cabins, delivers faster setup, lower costs, and an enhanced guest experience.

“This is a significant milestone in Nokken’s journey and confirmation of where we believe the hospitality market is heading” said Co-Founder Nathan Aylott. With over €1 billion AUM (Assets Under Management) invested in lifestyle and hospitality platforms such as Aethos Hotels, Emerald Stay, Loisium Wine & Spa Hotels, and Voaara, Limestone Capital is known for combining real estate investment with branded, experience-driven operating platforms. “We are confident in the alignment this represents” said Nathan

The investment will drive Nokken’s growth, focusing on building strategic partnerships with landowners and operators, securing key supply chain components, and expanding its sales and marketing capabilities.

Nokken was born from a simple idea: if more people want to live in natural surroundings, they’ll also want to holiday in them. That’s where Nokken’s modular cabins come in—efficient, flexible, and designed for people to enjoy, make memories, and relax in. They work just as well as unique homes or inspiring workspaces.

Focused on non-urban, natural locations, Nokken cabins are built to connect with their surroundings in harmony. Inside, you can experience the changing seasons and weather while working, sleeping, or simply living.

“Limestone Capital is a great strategic alignment for Nokken. The partnership with Limestone allows us to focus on bringing our products to some of the best destinations in the world and ensuring end customers can experience nature in new, meaningful ways,” said Craig McDonald, CEO of the Nokken Group. “Their hospitality expertise and operational excellence will be instrumental as we scale.”

“We’ve always believed that great design isn’t just about aesthetics, it’s about impact. This partnership gives us the platform to bring Nokken’s vision to a global stage, where architecture, nature and emotion meet in powerful, purposeful ways” says James Van Tromp, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer
