TXP Acquires Metatech To Strengthen Legacy IT Systems

This move strengthens TXP’s expertise in migrating Gen-based legacy systems—still widely used in banking, insurance, and the public sector.

The acquisition, supported by private equity firm Aliter Capital, adds Metatech’s automation platform ‘MigrationWorks’ to TXP’s portfolio. Deal details were not shared.

Metatech’s software helps modernise old Gen-based systems by automating key steps and supporting upgrades to newer technologies like Cobol, Java, and C# .NET. The company also offers consulting on IT strategy, system re-architecture, and tool integration.

We know the team at Metatech very well and so we know how much this deal will broaden TXP’s existing credentials, adding unique automated solutions, scarce technical skillsets, knowledge and experience,” said John Antunes, CEO of TXP. “Moving forward, this specialist know-how will be a vital element in delivering significant pipeline projects, as well as generating a wealth of new business opportunities.”

This is Aliter Capital’s third acquisition in its digital transformation group, following Concept Resourcing in 2022 and Jumar in 2023. The firm plans to keep expanding by bringing together UK-based digital and ICT service companies to better serve a wide range of top-tier clients.
