European Startups raised capital in order to expand and move into more successful. Here is this week's Top European Startups Funding Roundup-September 15 –September 19 2025.

Terra One

Terra One, a German grid-scale battery storage developer, has raised up to €150 million in mezzanine financing from Aviva Investors. Combined with equity and project financing, this capital will allow Terra One to invest up to €750 million in new storage assets.

Avantium

Amsterdam-based Avantium, a sustainable chemistry technology company, has raised a total of €84.8M.

EvoluteIQ

EvoluteIQ, a native AI platform, has raised $53 million in minority growth funding from Baird Capital to drive global expansion and reinforce its position in enterprise-grade agentic AI automation. Baird Capital’s Daina Spedding and Mark Donnelly will join EvoluteIQ’s Board of Directors.

Nory

Nory, a UK-based AI-native restaurant management system, announced €31 million in Series B funding to advance its AI capabilities and support expansion into the US.

Nofence

Nofence, a Molde, Norway-based pioneer in virtual fencing technology, has raised over $35 million (€30 million) in Series B funding.

DRUID AI

Bucharest-based DRUID AI has raised €26 million in Series C funding to accelerate the global rollout of its enterprise-focused agentic AI platform, now led by new CEO Joseph Kim.

Finary

Finary, the Paris-based FinTech redefining wealth management through a tech-first, transparent approach, has raised €25 million in a Series B round to expand its offerings and accelerate growth.

BIOWEG

Germany-based BIOWEG, a developer of high-performance biodegradable ingredients designed to replace intentionally added acrylic polymer microplastics, has raised €16 million in a Series A round.

Kertos

Germany’s AI compliance platform Kertos has raised €14 million in a Series A round to advance AI-native compliance across Europe.

TAFALGIE THERAPEUTICS

TAFALGIE THERAPEUTICS, a Marseille-based clinical-stage biotech startup focused on non-opioid pain treatments, has raised €12 million in a Series A round, taking its total funding to €30 million since inception.
