TODAY Raises €2.8 Mn Seed Funding

Copenhagen-based startup TODAY has raised €2.8 million in Seed funding to grow its AI-powered sales platform for financial and insurance advisors.

SUMMARY

  • TODAY, a Copenhagen-based AI startup, has raised €2.8 million in Seed funding.
  • The round was co-led by HTGF and InsurTech Gateway, with other fintech investors and angels participating.
  • Founded in 2024 by Michael Gackstatter and Artem Demchenkov, TODAY helps financial and insurance advisors manage sales and client meetings.

The funding round was co-led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and InsurTech Gateway. SeedX, Lucid Capital, former HDI CEO Herbert Rogenhofer, and Tech11 founder Pierre Dubosq also participated in the round.

“While AI reshuffles financial advice, we scale the human touch. Our agents take over the admin, so advisors can spend their time with clients. With our strong investors on board, we will bring this to every advisory team in DACH,” said Gackstatter, co-founder and CEO, TODAY.

“Michael and Artem combine rare experience in scaling financial services businesses with an exceptional ability to execute at speed. As technological and demographic shifts make financial services sales increasingly complex and cumbersome, we are convinced that they are building the vertical AI layer that will remove this friction from sales professionals’ day-to-day work,” said Tizian Hoppen, Senior Investment Manager at HTGF.

More revenue per advisor through individual AI coaching

Michael Gackstatter and Artem Demchenkov co-founded TODAY in 2024. Gackstatter was previously part of the founding team and served as CPO at CLARK, a profitable European InsurTech unicorn. Demchenkov was formerly the CTO of Billie, a leading European buy-now-pay-later company.

With TODAY, the founders have developed a complete AI Sales Operating System for financial and insurance advisors. The platform helps advisors before, during, and after meetings with clients.

TODAY can transcribe meetings in real time while keeping the data private. No audio is stored, and the transcripts are anonymised. The platform can also create IDD-compliant documents using an advisor’s own templates. Its real-time assistant provides suggestions for handling customer objections and recommends the next best action during calls. Advisors can also use AskTODAY to search and ask questions about their past client conversations.
