Tiqets Secures €25M Loan from ABN AMRO to Refinance Venture Debt and Drive Growth

Amsterdam-based ticketing platform Tiqets has announced the successful raising of a €25 million loan from Dutch banking group ABN AMRO. The fresh capital will be used to refinance existing venture debt, allowing Tiqets to optimize financial flexibility and reduce costs as it eyes further expansion.

Boosting Financial Efficiency

The strategic refinancing is expected to deliver cost savings and provide greater agility to pursue growth opportunities. The deal reflects ABN AMRO’s commitment to supporting tech-driven companies aligned with its ‘digital transformation’ strategy.

Founded in 2014, Tiqets is a global online platform that enables travelers to discover and book tickets to museums, cultural landmarks, attractions, and guided tours. Operating in over 60 countries and 1,000+ cities, the platform supports 17 languages and has delivered more than 50 million experiences to users worldwide.

Backed by major investors, including Airbnb, Tiqets has raised over €100 million in equity to date, with its latest Series C round closing in 2019.
