SUMMARY
- Grenoble-based industrial deeptech company TiHive has raised €8 million to commercialize its vision solutions, expand globally, and advance next-generation terahertz chips enhanced with AI.
The round includes EIC Fund, Karista, and Wind, a €130 million Article 9 fund focused on climate adaptation.
TiHive’s platform combines proprietary CMOS terahertz chips with advanced optics and an AI-driven software stack. Terahertz waves are non-ionizing, enabling see-through imaging for applications such as industrial quality control, sensing, and secure communications. Integrating terahertz on CMOS allows miniaturization, scalable manufacturing, low energy use, and high throughput.
“With this funding, we’ll bring TiHive’s technology to more hygiene production lines worldwide and expand into new markets. Our goal is clear: qualify billions of products annually, helping manufacturers deliver best quality to their customers, reduce costs and save resources at scale,” said Hani Sherry, Founder and CEO of TiHive.

Deployed directly on production lines, TiHive’s systems perform continuous, inline, non-destructive inspection, detecting internal defects, material distribution issues, residual moisture, and thickness deviations in real time. Leading hygiene manufacturers use its multi-camera, multi-source setup, generating large datasets and analyzing millions of products weekly.
TiHive is expanding beyond absorbent hygiene into textiles, leather, recycling, agriculture, aerospace, and space, supporting quality verification and impurity detection across production lifecycles. The company is scaling operations across Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific, while maintaining production, assembly and validation in Europe.
“The EIC Fund is glad to continue our journey with TiHive. They combine deep tech expertise in terahertz-on-silicon, artificial intelligence and big data analytics to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and Europe’s strategic autonomy,” said Svetoslava Georgieva, Chair of the EIC Fund Board.
