SUMMARY

  • Tallinn-based startup Flashka, an AI-powered study app for university students, has raised €1 million in a Pre-Seed round led by Nordic-Baltic VC Outlast Fund, with participation from UCP and Vento Ventures.

Flashka helps students tackle complex subjects using automated flashcards, quizzes and personalized learning tools. Just one year after launch, the app has reached one million users and ranked number one on major App Stores in Italy and Spain.

The company has tripled its recurring revenue over the past three months and continues to grow rapidly, expanding beyond Italy and Spain into the DACH region.

”Students are the reason we build this product. They message us every day with feedback, and they are the ones telling us what actually helps them learn,” said David Djokovic, co-founder and CEO of Flashka.

“For too many students, AI is currently used only as a shortcut. Flashka is a part of the countermovement where a new generation of students uses its features daily as a way to deepen their learning, not avoid it,” said Kristaps Prusis, Founding Partner of Outlast Fund.

The new funding will be used to grow Flashka’s remote technical team and accelerate product development. Upcoming updates include personalized analytics, social learning features and broader support for different learning styles.
