- Amsterdam-based startup Struck has secured €2 million in a seed funding round, led by Value Factory Ventures and joined by Antler alongside several industry angels from the construction and real estate sectors.
The funding will enable Struck to enhance its AI-powered compliance platform and speed up expansion across Europe.
Founded in 2024 Struck helps architects, developers, and municipalities navigate complex building regulations. Its platform delivers instant insights and will soon automatically verify design compliance aiming to streamline permitting, reduce costs and support sustainable construction.
“Building regulations are becoming increasingly complex while the need for faster and more sustainable construction is greater than ever,” said Max van Riel, co-founder of Struck. “Therefore it's essential to find solutions to accelerate and simplify this process.”

Since its launch, Struck has emerged as a leading platform for building regulation compliance in the Netherlands, supporting thousands of users—including municipalities, developers, builders, and architects. Its features include a comprehensive AI-powered library of building codes and an automated tool for checking permit exemptions.
Johan van Heusden, Managing Partner at Value Factory Ventures, commented: “The construction sector is responsible for nearly 40% of global CO2 emissions yet we urgently need to build millions of new homes. Solving this paradox means building smarter not slower.”
Struck aims to expand beyond the Netherlands into other European markets, targeting regions where complex building regulations continue to slow construction and development projects.
