Steryon simplifies complex cybersecurity challenges by turning technical data into clear, actionable insights that align with real business needs.
Using AI, Steryon helps organisations—from factory floors to executive offices—understand threats in context, prioritise them, and take informed action quickly and effectively.
According to Maria Taberna, founder and CEO of Steryon: “After more than a decade working in industrial cybersecurity, I’ve experienced the sector’s challenges firsthand.”
Steryon aims to shift the standard by offering solutions that speak the language of industry, fit smoothly into day-to-day operations, and intelligently protect what matters most.
Taberna asserts: “Industrial cybersecurity can no longer be a siloed or reactive effort; it must become a strategic business capability.”
Maria Taberna is an engineer with over 15 years of experience in industrial cybersecurity. She played a key role in building Oylo from the ground up, eventually leading global cybersecurity efforts at Rockwell Automation after its acquisition. There, she designed and implemented programs in complex, highly regulated industrial settings.
Her strong technical background and practical, operations-focused mindset shape Steryon’s effective approach to industrial security. Maria now leads a skilled team with deep expertise in cybersecurity and industrial systems.
The €1M seed funding round was co-led by 4Founders Capital and Abac Nest Ventures.
"At 4Founders, we saw in Steryon a high-impact proposal, led by a team with deep understanding of the problem and the environment in which it occurs. Their vision is ambitious and has been executed with focus from day one," said Marc Badosa, partner and founder at 4Founders Capital.
"At Abac Nest Ventures, we support technical founders with a clear vision and strong execution capabilities. Steryon represents this new generation of industrial solutions born from the ground up, with modular technology, AI-powered engines, and a clear focus on real-world impact," added Joan Pina, partner at Abac Nest Ventures.
Steryon is one of three Spanish startups chosen by Google for its Google for Startups Growth Academy: AI for Cybersecurity program, which supports top startups using AI to improve cybersecurity.
With the new funding, Steryon will speed up technology development, grow its tech and sales teams, and expand its reach—especially in key industrial sectors.
The company is already working with industry operators and plans to scale its presence both in Spain and globally in the coming months.
