SponsWatch, a Stockholm-based company that uses AI for sponsorship analytics, has raised €1 million in Seed funding. The money will help the company grow, improve its products, and change how brands and rights holders measure the impact of their sponsorships.

The funding round was led by node.vc, with support from Venrex, early investors in companies like Just Eat, Revolut, and Midnite.

SponsWatch stands out because, unlike traditional methods that are often outdated and rely on estimates, it uses real data like advertising costs, audience reach, attention spans, and engagement. This helps brands, teams, and leagues get the most out of their sponsorships, improve their strategies, and accurately measure their return on investment.

Their current clients include Swedish football and hockey clubs, as well as national and international federations, brands, teams, and athletes. With more people choosing streaming services over traditional TV, brands are finding it harder to reach audiences through old advertising methods.

Sponsorships and product placements are becoming key ways to reach people, with sports being the most effective platform for keeping audience attention and increasing exposure.

The global sports sponsorship market was worth over €95.2 billion in 2023 and is expected to almost double by 2030. However, measuring sponsorship impact accurately is still a big challenge, and SponsWatch is working to solve it.
