German deeptech startup RIIICO has raised $5 million in Seed funding to help industrial companies modernize their existing production sites.

SUMMARY

  • German deeptech startup RIIICO has raised $5 million in Seed funding to help industrial companies modernize their existing production sites.

The company offers an AI-powered software platform that creates precise 3D digital twins of factories using LiDAR scans.

This allows teams to easily redesign, simulate, and adapt production spaces for new products or processes—making factory upgrades four times faster and more efficient.

RIIICO addresses a growing need in Western manufacturing, where legacy factories must compete with new, modern facilities built from scratch overseas.

Its platform makes retrofitting easier and more collaborative, enabling plant managers, suppliers, and teams to test changes virtually before executing them on-site.

The technology has already proven successful in the automotive industry, helping install electric vehicle lines in factories previously used for combustion engines—reducing on-site errors and increasing design quality.

The Seed round was led by Pi Labs, with participation from seed + speed Ventures, WaVe-X, Earlybird Venture Capital, and Volvo Cars Tech Fund.

According to CEO Felix Fink, the product has already delivered results in high-pressure, quality-focused environments like the auto sector.

“With our new investors, spearheaded by Lead Investor Pi Labs, we aim to enhance the connection between real factory environments and digital models, boosting flexibility to strengthen industry resilience and competitiveness.”

Faisal Butt, founder and managing partner at Pi Labs shared: “RIIICO has the potential to use AI to transform how factories redesign manufacturing facilities in response to business demands and shifting market conditions.

The company is uniquely positioned to become a critical enabler for industrial facilities under increasing cost pressure, helping them operate more efficiently and competitively.”

With the new funding, RIIICO plans to expand its AI platform by adding new applications that leverage digital twins, aiming to boost the resilience and competitiveness of its industrial clients.

About RIIICO

Founded in 2021 RIIICO is helping manufacturers navigate major transformation by bridging the gap between physical factories and their digital twins.

Their technology enhances systems like Siemens Tecnomatix and NVIDIA Omniverse with highly accurate, detailed 3D reality data, created through deep learning on spatial inputs. This empowers manufacturers to tackle today’s industrial challenges more effectively.
