Proba, a carbon finance startup, has raised €1M to speed up decarbonization in the agri-food sector through insetting.

Instead of funding external projects to offset emissions, it helps companies cut emissions within their own supply chains, especially in fertilizer production.
They provide a platform that tracks and certifies decarbonization efforts, turning them into verified, tradable certificates. These certificates can attract funding from other partners helping businesses achieve sustainability goals and increase their impact.
The funding, led by Future Food Fund and Yield Lab Europe with ongoing support from Value Factory Ventures, will help expand efforts to reduce emissions in fertilizer production within the agri-food sector.

It wants to make sustainability easier and more widespread by encouraging companies to take part in decarbonization and rewarding them with tradable carbon certificates.
