Moldovan game development company Paparuda Studio has secured over €210,000 (4 million MDL) in funding to develop its first globally targeted video game marking a step forward in the country’s shift toward high-value digital industries.

Founded in 2026 by Victor Marchitan, Artiom Snegur, and Alex Culeva, the studio is part of a new wave of developers moving beyond outsourcing to create original games. It plans to launch its first title within 12–15 months on global platforms.
Paparuda focuses on Indie and AA games, with early projects centred on cooperative gameplay that encourages social interaction.
The funding will help grow the team from 5 to around 15–20 specialists, including developers, designers, and artists. The studio is also exploring partnerships with publishers like Devolver Digital and Team17 to support funding and distribution.
