SUMMARY

  • Amsterdam-based Orq.ai has raised €5 million in an oversubscribed seed round led by seed + speed Ventures and Galion.exe, with participation from Curiosity VC, Spacetime, XO Ventures, xdeck ventures, Waves Capital and GoldenEggCheck. This brings the company’s total funding to €7.3 million since its founding in 2022.

As regulatory pressure increases under GDPR and the upcoming EU AI Act, enterprises are seeking AI infrastructure that ensures full control over data flows, model behaviour and deployment environments. This has driven demand for platforms capable of supporting operational, production-grade AI rather than isolated prototypes or proofs of concept.

Orq.ai addresses this “production gap,” helping enterprises reliably move AI systems from prototype to real-world deployment. Many AI projects struggle with versioning, incomplete monitoring, manual governance, and compliance challenges problems Orq.ai’s platform is designed to solve.

The company provides a unified control layer for the entire AI agent lifecycle, combining experimentation, evaluation, observability, governance, AI gateway, and agent runtime in a single environment. This end-to-end approach allows engineering teams to develop, deploy, monitor, and improve AI agents without relying on disconnected tools.

According to Orq.ai Co-founder Sohrab Hosseini, engineering teams need more than just access to new models they require robust infrastructure to industrialize AI agent development and deployment.

They want clarity on how agents behave, how data moves through their systems, and how to stay compliant as the regulatory landscape evolves. We provide them with the harness to have this control.

As data governance and sovereignty requirements grow, Orq.ai’s platform enables enterprises to run AI on their own infrastructure, meet data residency obligations, and reduce dependence on external providers an increasingly crucial capability for regulated industries and the public sector.

With the new funding, the company plans to expand its engineering, enterprise sales, and customer success teams, strengthen its presence in key European markets, and accelerate growth in North America.
