  • Occupop: AI-Powered Recruitment Platform, Streamlining Hiring Process
  • Gleeson and Banaghan believe that “people are at the core of every successful business.”

Today, Occupop offers a tracking software application designed to provide tools to recruiters so businesses can find and hire the best people for their business.

Why Occupop?

Gleeson and Banaghan worked with Morgan McKinley, a popular global agency in Ireland and the UK. They worked with hiring managers and candidates at Morgan McKinley. During that time, they observed that hiring managers, agency recruiters, and candidates were upset.

They all were struggling with the difficulties of the complex hiring process and the use of outdated methods. Recognizing the pain points in the hiring process, their frustration increased, especially since new technologies were revolutionizing traditional sectors like accommodation (Airbnb) and transport (Uber).

Noticing this gap, they had a clear understanding of what was required. To fix this gap, there is a need to develop an easy-to-use and accessible HR platform for everyone. Disheartened by the complexities of the hiring process, they both decided to create a streamlined technology for hiring managers, focusing on necessary features to find the best candidates.

The early version of the platform allowed recruiters to bid on rates, which led to the foundation of BidRecruit. After launching their MVP in late 2016, they swiftly expanded, continuously adapting the solution to suit customer requirements.

For around 4 years, they relentlessly worked and developed a solution that meets modern hiring demands. As a result, their product evolved rapidly. To build strong, effective teams, businesses need a robust hiring tool that makes finding and hiring top talent easy. After realizing this, they left the old name, BidRecruit, behind and adopted a new one, Occupop. This is how Occupop was born.
