Nscale Appoints Former OpenAI Executive Fidji Simo to Its Board of Directors

Fidji Simo most recently worked as CEO of AGI Deployment at OpenAI, where she led business and product teams focused on bringing the company’s research to users. She continues to advise OpenAI.

Before joining OpenAI, Simo was CEO and Chair of Instacart. During her time there, she helped the company become profitable and led it through its public listing in 2023. She has more than 20 years of experience building and growing technology products in social media, e-commerce, and AI.

Before Instacart, Simo spent 10 years at Meta, where she led the Facebook app and worked across News Feed, Video, Groups, Marketplace, and Ads. She also previously led Meta’s mobile advertising products. She started her career at eBay and currently serves on the board of Shopify.

Nscale is an AI infrastructure company based in London. Founded in 2024, the company builds and operates AI data centres and provides GPU cloud services to AI companies and businesses. Nscale is currently developing data centre campuses in Norway and the United States.
