Remora’s patented autonomous submarine robot cleans fish farming nets and inspects cages using AI. It also collects environmental data, helping improve fish health, reduce stress, and boost biosecurity. Unlike traditional methods, it avoids harsh cleaning techniques and vessel traffic near pens.
Based in Stavanger, Remora runs large-scale production and works closely with salmon farmers. It partners with top Norwegian institutions like SINTEF, NTNU, and Innovation Norway, and its tech has been tested by NORCE and verified by Aquastructure.
In the past year, Remora Robotics has achieved a major commercial milestone, securing installations with top aquaculture companies. Due to high demand, most of its production is booked for the next six months. The company is now focused on delivering strong service and long-term value through its platform.
At Aqua Nor this August, Remora will unveil the next phase of its technology—a new AI-powered software platform for continuous pen monitoring and net integrity inspection.
Svein Erik Gregersen, CEO of Remora Robotics, says, “We’re incredibly proud of what the team has achieved so far, and it’s highly motivating to see such strong market response to our technology.”
“This funding gives us the opportunity to further develop the platform and deliver even more value to our customers. These are exciting times for Remora – and we’re just getting started.”
