n8n funding news - Berlin-based n8n Secures €55 Million in Series B Round Funding

Berlin-based n8n, an AI-powered workflow automation platform for technical teams, has raised €55 million in Series B funding. The money will help speed up product development and open new offices in New York and London this year.

SUMMARY

  • Berlin-based n8n, an AI-powered workflow automation platform for technical teams, has raised €55 million in Series B funding.
  • n8n is a workflow automation platform that combines AI with business process automation. It connects to any app or API while offering the flexibility of code and the speed of no-code.

The funding round was led by Highland Europe, with support from HV Capital and previous investors Sequoia, Felicis, and Harpoon. After a year of rapid growth, n8n now has over 200,000 active users and has increased its annual recurring revenue (ARR) five times.

Jan Oberhauser, Founder and CEO of n8n, said: “Automation shouldn’t be a black box – companies need transparency, customisation and cost efficiency. With n8n, we’ve built more than a platform; we’ve built a community that loves and relies on us. From individual contributors to global enterprises, n8n gives everyone the powers of a 10x developer which is vital given the explosion of AI in the workplace. We’re redefining what AI-powered automation and workflows are capable of.”

It says most tools in the €22.1 billion workflow automation market have trouble handling complex, high-volume workflows. This forces teams to rely on in-house development and custom coding, which is time-consuming and hard to maintain.

It aims to solve this problem with its fair-code platform, which gives technical teams the flexibility of coding and the speed of no-code, along with the power of AI.

n8n supports critical workflows for over 3,000 companies, helping them easily integrate any language model (LLM), mix it with custom code, and add human-in-the-loop steps to ensure control and compliance. This way, companies can maintain full control over their automation and AI systems.

It offers both cloud and self-hosting options for full control. It has helped companies like Delivery Hero save 200 hours a month, Musixmatch save 47 days of engineering work in just four months, and Bordr grow its business significantly.

David Blyghton, General Partner at Highland Europe, said: “n8n has built something truly special — an amazing team, an engaged and rapidly growing community, and a product that is redefining automation. With LLM integrations now representing over 75% of workflows, the company is enabling developers to leverage AI in practical business use-cases, from ITOps & SecOps, through to sales automation. We’re excited to support n8n as they continue their journey to shape the future of automation.”

With this new funding, n8n will speed up its product development, focusing on improving tools for key business workflows and adding features to better monitor and track progress from prototype to production.

The investment will also help grow the team in areas like engineering, product, and marketing, while continuing to support the community through events and education. New offices will open in New York and London this year to better serve its growing global customer base.
