SUMMARY
- Modern Relay, a Spain and U.S.-based company building a shared foundation for enterprise AI, has raised €2.5 million ($3 million) in funding while launching its first open-source product, Omnigraph a Git-style graph database designed for an agent-driven computing environment.
The round included participation from Point Nine, Emerge, Amino Collective, and Common Magic, along with angel investors such as Charlie Songhurst (Meta board member), Michael Boehler (former BioNTech executive), and Thomas Clozel (co-founder of OWKIN).
Founded in 2025 by Ragnor Comerford and Aaron Go, Modern Relay is building a shared foundation for enterprise AI. Its context graph enables organisations to coordinate work across people, software, and AI agents while managing how knowledge and operations evolve over time.
The company notes that enterprises are already using multiple AI agents for tasks such as research, coding, and operations. However, when these agents operate across functions, they often face a common challenge organisational context is fragmented across documents, chats, legacy systems, and undocumented knowledge.

Without a unified layer where both humans and agents operate on the same information and rules, automation tends to remain siloed across departments.
Modern Relay aims to solve this by creating infrastructure that represents how a company truly functions its people, policies, data, and decisions allowing teams and software to coordinate from a shared source of truth.
This system enables the right information to be routed to the right actor at the right time, while also governing changes, approvals, and the evolution of work over time.
The company believes that as AI becomes deeply embedded in enterprise workflows, this shared foundation will become one of the most critical assets for modern organisations.
“Every company will soon rely on a growing number of agents across all departments,” says Ragnor Comerford, co-founder of Modern Relay. “Without a shared foundation connecting them, those systems create more fragmentation than leverage. We’re building the layer that lets organisations preserve context, coordinate work and stay in control.”
About Modern Relay
Modern Relay builds a shared foundation for enterprise AI through its context graph, which unifies organisational knowledge, coordinates AI agents and governs change on customer-owned infrastructure. The company also created Omnigraph, a Git-style graph database designed for environments where AI agents act as first-class operational participants.
