SUMMARY

  • Contents, an Italian work execution platform that orchestrates AI agents, enterprise knowledge, and approval workflows for global brands, has secured a €5.9 million ($7 million) Series B extension and is setting up Doha as its operational hub for the Middle East.

The funding round was led by Qatar Development Bank (QDB), with participation from Alkemia Capital, the Series B lead investor. With this latest injection, Contents’ total funding to date reaches €21 million ($25 million).

Founded in 2021, Contents is a work execution platform designed for global enterprises, turning internal knowledge into complex business outcomes from multi-market product launches to automated regulatory documentation at scale and under governance.

“Most AI companies sell generation. We sell execution. The next phase of enterprise AI is not about models it’s about who controls the workflow layer between intelligence and business outcomes. That’s the layer we are defining,” says Massimiliano Squillace, CEO and Founder of Contents.

While Europe has produced world-class AI research and applications, few enterprise-grade orchestration platforms operate at a global level. Contents positions itself as the missing control layer: model-agnostic, multilingual, and compliant by design precisely as Gulf economies are ramping up investment in sovereign AI capabilities.

True to its model-agnostic approach, Contents integrates Meta, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Mistral, supporting 25+ languages, including 15 Arabic dialects. Its client roster includes Dolce & Gabbana, William Hill, Sainsbury’s, and Beko.

Rather than generating content, Contents orchestrates entire business workflows. For example, a fashion brand can instruct the platform to “launch this collection across 18 markets,” and Contents manages generation, localization, compliance, approvals, and delivery end-to-end.

With the Series B extension closed Contents will accelerate its expansion across the GCC region, establishing Doha as its operational hub and investing in advanced AI solutions for content orchestration, localization, and governance at a global scale.

CEO Massimiliano Squillace also spoke at the 2024 EU-Startups Summit, sharing insights on the current state and future opportunities of AI in Europe.

“With Doha as our operational base, we are building the gateway to the entire Arabic-speaking world over 400 million people across 22 countries. No other European AI platform operates natively in 15 Arabic dialects. That’s not a feature. That’s a market position,” says Massimiliano.
