Mevaldi Secures Funding To Develop Bio-based ‘Green’ Chemicals

The funding round was led by HTGF and ICIG Ventures. With this support, Mevaldi plans to scale up its breakthrough technology which produces biochemicals for sustainable bio-polymers, polyols and recyclable plastics. The investment will help the company move closer to large-scale production and meet growing industry demand.

Led by CEO Roger Ottenheym Mevaldi is a biotech company developing sustainable polymer and polyurethane building blocks from natural raw materials. Founded in 2020, it focuses on 3MPD a bio-based alternative for coatings, adhesives, and elastomers. Produced from renewables via a patented hybrid bio-thermocatalytic process, 3MPD replaces fossil-based variants.
