The investment will support the company’s mission to accelerate the adoption of high-performance, sustainable electric motorcycles, expand production capabilities, and drive innovation in design, technology, and rider experience across the UK and beyond.

The funding round was supported by Venrex, Future Planet Capital, and Elbow Beach, along with angel investors including John Ayton MBE and Simon Hill-Norton.

Maeving plans to use the capital to expand its US operations and strengthen its research and development capabilities to drive innovation in electric motorcycles.

Maeving, founded by Seb Inglis-Jones and Will Stirrup, designs electric motorcycles that combine cutting-edge innovation with everyday practicality.

Their bikes feature removable batteries that can be charged from any standard plug, eliminating the need for fixed charging stations and rethinking the traditional motorcycle manufacturing model.

The recent funding round follows a Seed investment in August 2020, which drew support from notable backers including Peter Williams, founder of Jack Wills, and Spencer Matthews, founder of CleanCo.
