SUMMARY
- Madrid-based digital marketplace Webel has raised €4.3 million in a pre-Series A funding round to accelerate growth, improve its technology, and expand across Europe.
The round was led by existing investor Trind Ventures, with participation from Decelera Ventures, Tiburon, and others. Mantas Mikuckas, co-founder and former COO of Vinted, also joined as a new investor.
Webel was founded in 2018 by Carlos Estévez Rincón, Guillermo Mateo, and Nacho Tejero Mancho with a dual mission: to simplify the booking of home services for consumers and to generate new job opportunities for professionals using the platform.
The company reports having over 2 million users, around 350,000 registered professionals, and nearly one million service listings on its marketplace.

Despite the global home services industry being valued at more than €1 trillion, Webel highlights that its digitalisation remains relatively low compared to other e-commerce sectors.
Webel has revealed that home cleaning, ironing, and handyman services remain its most requested offerings, though new categories are gaining traction, including small home renovations, moving services, manicure services, appliance repair, private tutoring, and childcare.
The startup reports steady business expansion with growth since 2022 reaching 7.5x, 6.6x, 3.3x and 2.2x across different metrics. In the most recent year the company reduced marketing spending to focus on product development resulting in a significant increase in organic traffic.
A key differentiator of Webel’s model is its cost structure, which allows the company to offer prices 30–40% lower than competitors. Professionals also benefit from lower-than-average commissions while maintaining full control over pricing, schedules and client relationships.
The latest funding round will primarily support marketing and product development aiming to scale the platform and increase visibility for its newly introduced service categories. This strategic shift significantly expands Webel’s Total Addressable Market and positions the platform for broader growth in the coming years.
Currently, Webel operates in 31 Spanish cities, including Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville and Bilbao, and has begun international expansion into the United Kingdom. In 2024, the company raised €1.4 million from Goodwater Capital, Decelera Ventures and ZAKA VC.
Following this round, Webel’s immediate objectives are to strengthen its presence in Spain particularly by promoting new service categories and to triple revenue by 2026 while continuing on the path to profitability.
The company also plans to expand its team of around 30 employees, hiring in marketing, technology, and product development to accelerate feature creation and further enhance the user experience.
“The confidence of leading investors and the entry of profiles such as Mantas Mikuckas reinforces our vision of building the leading platform for hiring any home service. Our goal is to simplify access to these services while helping thousands of professionals find new work opportunities,” said Nacho Tejero, CEO and co-founder of Webel.
“We are evolving from being perceived as a cleaning app to becoming a true home services super app, with categories such as electricians, plumbers, renovations, moving services, tutoring, and childcare or elderly care, among the more than 30 service categories currently available,” explained Tejero.
