- London-based Lupa, an AI-powered operating system for veterinary clinics, has raised $20 million in Series A funding to expand its AI capabilities, accelerate international growth, and launch a Veterinary AI Lab.
The round, led by Singular with participation from Firstminute Capital and angel investors including Michael Callahan, brings total funding to $25 million, following a seed round five months earlier.
The global petcare market exceeds $350 billion, yet many veterinary groups still rely on outdated systems from the 1990s, limiting efficiency and clinical performance.

Founded in 2023 by Nicolò Frisiani and Matei Bjola (formerly BCG) and Raul LozanoMartin (formerly Meta), Lupa provides a modern, enterprise-grade OS for veterinary clinics.
The platform integrates over seven solutions practice management, pet-owner apps, inpatient tools, and AI scribing into a single system optimized for AI. Clinics report roughly double the ROI compared with fragmented legacy systems, supported by dedicated customer success teams.
Lupa also offers a mobile app for pet owners, enabling appointment booking, secure messaging, payments, and a digital pet-health passport. An AI receptionist manages calls and scheduling, connecting clinics and owners in real time for seamless care.
The upcoming Veterinary AI Lab will develop clinically robust, safety-focused AI tools across the care pathway, from reception to diagnosis. It will function as a combined research and product hub, collaborating with universities and regulators, publishing peer-reviewed work, and contributing to ethical AI standards in pet care.
Lupa has secured multi-year agreements with veterinary groups in the UK and Europe, planning deployments across hundreds of clinics. The new funding will support AI expansion, international growth and the lab’s launch.
