The platform's growth will be accelerated and operations in the UK will be scaled up with this investment. For the following three years, the team wants to double both growth and inventory on an annual basis. The funds will also be utilized to expand operations globally and improve the platform's AI capabilities to better optimize the user experience.
Alice Aubrey, co-founder at Lovetovisit, commented: “Lovetovisit has gone from strength to strength this year and we’re incredibly proud to have such esteemed investors on board. Building the business and hitting these milestones alongside my sister is a dream. We each bring unique strengths to the team, but we share a passion for supporting the many amazing events, attractions and experiences in the UK to digitise and scale. There are so many weird, wonderful and iconic things to do in this country, we just need to make it easier for people to find, explore and book them. Our goal is to be the go-to platform for booking memorable things to do and this raise is a big step towards achieving that mission.”
With over 2,700 goods presently available on the platform, Lovetovisit's proprietary API allows customers to purchase tickets in real-time at the lowest price guaranteed, reaching a community of over 3.2 million members. Tickets are provided to users quickly via SMS and email, eliminating the need to redeem them through a separate shop or voucher.
The mobile-friendly website makes use of artificial intelligence (AI) to provide users with tailored travel suggestions and interactive maps that let them explore local events. The founding three of Lovetovisit, who had previously collaborated at the tourism marketing business in Pereira, saw firsthand how challenging it was for customers to locate and reserve local activities.

This realization spurred them to create the platform. Customers who ordered takeout or made hotel reservations did not experience this annoyance because tech solutions had already disrupted these businesses. This issue is resolved by Lovetovisit, which provides a unified platform for customers to search and reserve activities that best suit their interests and budget.
Andrew Sutcliffe, Partner at Redrice Ventures, added: “In a post-pandemic era, consumers want to connect with others through in-person experiences and in many cases are seeking these close to home. Until now, there have been few ways for consumers to easily find such experiences. Lovetovisit’s industry experience has enabled them to build a platform with an exceptional depth of supplier inventory and we are excited to support them on their journey to become the next-gen platform for things-to-do.”
After winning Wales Tourism StartUp of the Year, Lovetovisit will compete in the UK finals in September. At the Travel Industry Awards in September 2023, Georgia and Alice Aubrey took home the John Hays Entrepreneur of the Year title.
