Azoma, a London-based company specializing in generative engine optimization (GEO) for e-commerce, has raised $4 million in Pre-Series A funding.

Azoma’s funding round was backed by Ignite Ventures, Rank Ventures, eBay Ventures x Techstars, Twinpath, MaRS IAF, as well as angel investors from the retail and AI sectors, including the Chairman & CEO of The Winn-Dixie Company and senior leadership from Google DeepMind. The round also included non-dilutive funding.

The company plans to deploy the funds to accelerate growth and expand its offerings.

“A thousand years ago, the average person owned around a dozen possessions. One hundred years ago, 99% of everything we brought was from a local merchant,” said founder and chief executive Max Sinclair.

Founded by Max Sinclair and Timur Luguev, Azoma provides an end-to-end platform for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI-driven brand discovery. Its patented technology enables brands to monitor, analyze and optimize their presence across AI-powered search engines and conversational platforms.

Azoma has already partnered with notable brands including Mars, Colgate, Zappos, P&G, Reckitt, Beiersdorf, and Canadian Tire.
