Logibot Raises €1.4 Mn to Bring Flexible Robot Workers to European Warehouses

Logistics companies across Europe are facing a shortage of workers. Warehouses, sorting centres, and distribution hubs are finding it difficult to fill physically demanding jobs, especially at locations that are far from areas with enough available workers.

That way, the client never gets tied to a single supplier. According to Louis Verspreeuwen, CEO and co-founder of Logibot, directors at large logistics groups run into four hurdles when they want to robotise their warehouse:

“They don't know where to start, they don't want to be locked into a contract with a single robot supplier, they're looking for solutions that fit existing operations without turning everything upside down, and they want models with variable, predictable costs, without tying up capital in heavy equipment.”

Logibot currently has seven employees. CEO Louis Verspreeuwen has 12 years of experience in logistics and international trade, including working in China and Hong Kong.

Co-founder and CTO Salimzhan Gafurov has two PhDs in robotics and AI. He previously led a team of 110 robotics engineers at a major e-commerce company and later served as CTO at Verne, a European robotaxi company backed by Bugatti and Rimac. Some other team members also have experience in AI racing, including A2RL.
