SUMMARY

  • Loft Dynamics, a Zurich-based global leader in virtual reality (VR) flight training, has secured $24 million in Series B funding.

The Series B round, bringing Loft Dynamics’ total funding to $60M, was led by Friedkin with participation from Alaska Airlines, Sky Dayton, Craft Ventures, and UP.Partners. Dan Friedkin, chairman and CEO of Friedkin, will join Loft Dynamics’ board alongside Series A investors Sky Dayton and Ben Marcus.

Loft Dynamics plans to use the funding to expand its commercial airline training offerings while further developing its core helicopter business.

Founded and led by CEO Fabi Riesen, the company has created FAA- and EASA-certified VR helicopter simulators, employed by operators including Airbus Helicopters, the Los Angeles Police Department, and Air Greenland.

Loft Dynamics’ initial offerings will feature existing helicopter simulators alongside new full-motion Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 VR airliner simulators. These airliner simulators include multi-crew replica cockpits with haptics, body and eye tracking, and AI-driven training intelligence for performance feedback.

LofTWIN allows instructors to record immersive lessons for pilots to replay, enabling safe training for all conditions, including rare, high-risk scenarios and past aviation incidents.

To enhance training accessibility, Loft Dynamics is developing a spatial computing–enabled home training kit, letting pilots review sessions, access immersive content, and train remotely—from their base or living room.

The company is a global leader in VR flight training, trusted by Alaska Airlines, Airbus Helicopters, the Los Angeles Police Department, and others.
