SUMMARY

  • Yodel, an independently owned parcel carrier headquartered in Liverpool, has secured £85 million in funding.
  • Yodel, which was established in 2010, asserts that it has over 49 locations throughout the United Kingdom to guarantee parcel delivery in a punctual manner to every postcode.

This investment, which is being backed by PayPoint plc and IGF (Independent Growth Finance), will address the increasing demand for Out of Home (OOH) deliveries and the substantial increase in parcel volumes through this expanding channel.

Hancox will collaborate with the current senior management team and strategic business partners, such as PayPoint plc, which invested £10M in June 2024 and manages the premier out-of-home (OOH) network, Collect+, in more than 12,000 locations throughout the United Kingdom.

Yodel asserts that it has achieved "record" growth in the past year, which has been fueled by the acquisition of new contracts and the renewal of existing ones with significant e-commerce businesses in the United Kingdom. The demand for Out of Home operations and a 200% increase in customer-to-customer (C2C) volumes over the past two years have both contributed to this growth.

Hancox, says, “I am delighted that we have secured a funding package that gives Yodel financial security into the future and the ability to continue investing in the long-term success of the business. I have to say thank you to my colleagues and our clients, who have been very supportive whilst Yodel has gone through a change of ownership, after many years with the Barclay family. We are excited to develop our Out of Home delivery offer and grateful for the support of the investors who will make this possible.”
