SUMMARY

  • Bulgarian startup Lace AI has raised $19 million in Seed funding for its revenue intelligence platform.

After growing 1000% in 2024, Lace is now one of the fastest-growing startups in Bulgaria. It has a top-tier team and a fast-growing R&D center in Sofia.

Lace focuses on the $650 billion home services and remodeling industry, which includes HVAC, plumbing, roofing, and more. Even today, most of the revenue in this industry still comes from phone calls. But many businesses don’t know why callers with strong interest don’t end up booking services.

Traditional methods involve reviewing calls manually and using limited data, which often leads to lost sales—up to 15–40% of revenue.

Lace AI changes that by automatically analyzing 100% of incoming calls. It instantly tracks what happened on each call, spots missed chances, and gives helpful tips for improving results. Businesses using Lace have reached up to 98% booking rates and boosted net sales by 35%—without spending more on marketing or hiring new staff.

Lace AI was co-founded by Boris Valkov, an AI leader who previously led foundational projects at Facebook AI—including the development of PyTorch and scaling the distributed training of trillion-parameter machine learning models. “I’ve seen firsthand how elite AI technologies are often locked inside the walls of tech giants,” said Valkov.

“With Lace, we’re unleashing that power into one of the world’s largest, most underserved industries—and the results are staggering.”

According to Valkov:

“We built Lace as the AI-native revenue intelligence platform purpose-built for the $650 billion home services industry—a sector long overdue for transformation."

The funding round was led by Bek Ventures, with support from top global investors like LAUNCHub Ventures and Horizon VC. Several well-known industry leaders also joined in, including Snowflake co-founder Marcin Zukowski, Vivino founder Heini Zachariassen, Payhawk co-founder Hristo Borisov, and other founders of billion-dollar startups.

Mehmet Atici, Managing Partner at Bek Ventures, said the Lace team has combined their skills in enterprise software and AI to build a powerful product. It gives customers the benefits of advanced AI without needing any technical knowledge to use it.
