- Amsterdam-based Labfresh, a startup tackling overconsumption through smart clothing, has successfully raised €1M via crowdfunding on the Eyevestor platform.
Labfresh secured funding from 331 investors and will use the capital to launch a smart womenswear collection.
Co-founder Kasper Brandi Petersen shared that the first three product drops have been tested and received positive, constructive feedback. Based on this, the company plans to place purchase orders worth €324,000 for the fourth quarter.
“I know this is going to be hard, and we won’t nail it the first time around. Luckily, we have 5,000+ women on our waiting list who build alongside us,” says Petersen in a LinkedIn post.
Labfresh, founded by Kasper Brandi Petersen and Lotte Vink, is working to reduce overconsumption by creating smart clothing that resists stains and odour.

Their T-shirts are made from 100% long-staple cotton, designed in Amsterdam, developed in Switzerland, and produced in Portugal.
Labfresh uses its unique FreshCore technology, which combines three features—hydrophobic, antibacterial, and easy-care—making the shirts resistant to stains, wrinkles, and smells.
The fabric repels water-based liquids like wine and ketchup and includes moisture-wicking tech to keep sweat hidden and help it dry quickly.
All materials are certified by STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX and BlueSign, ensuring high safety and environmental standards.
