Kneu is active across eight NHS Trusts and leading U.S. health systems.
"We've spent the last two years proving that remote monitoring can transform neurological care " said co-founder and CEO Caroline Cake. Kneu's technology provides clinicians with deeper insights into patient health and reduces uncertainty for patients between appointments.
"This funding allows us to bring that model to the US at the right moment, when health systems are ready to move beyond band-aid solutions and embrace continuous neurological care as core infrastructure, accessible to anyone with a smartphone," she added.
In partnership with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust Kneu’s pilot evaluation showed 90% of patients using the app experienced improved clinical outcomes with over half receiving updated care plans often including medication adjustments. The platform supported remote consultations and patient initiated follow ups in nearly 50% of cases, boosting NHS efficiency by an estimated 20%.
Kneu is expanding in the U.S., finalizing agreements with Cedars-Sinai and Mass General Brigham, and joining the Texas Medical Center Innovation Global Incubator Programme.
"With evidence emerging on both sides of the Atlantic, Kneu is laying the foundation for a reference dataset and operating platform in Parkinson's and dementia that raises standards of care while finally making the economics work for hospitals and payers," said Joel Schoppig, health tech investment principal at Oxford Science Enterprises.
