Kelly Laurel Appointed President And CEO As Dr. Mike Teodorescu Steps Down

Laurel, previously the company’s Chief Operating Officer, succeeds co-founder Dr. Mike Teodorescu, who is stepping down to focus on academic work and research while remaining a Board Advisor.

Laurel brings over 35 years of leadership experience, including 24 years of military service and 12 years in healthcare innovation and business development. She holds a B.Sc. in Microbiology and Chemistry, an MBA and has completed postgraduate studies in Healthcare Policy and Management.

A retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and former Senior Advisor to the U.S. Secretary of the Army, Laurel has extensive expertise in healthcare operations, federal procurement and technology deployment. Her military career included roles as a strategist on the Secretary of the Army’s staff, Senior Congressional Appropriations Liaison, Health Financial Policy Advisor to the Army Surgeon General, and Military Hospital CFO in Europe.

After retiring from the Army, Laurel served as Director for Federal Healthcare at Siemens, driving record-breaking growth and later revitalizing partnerships in Siemens’ Energy and Infrastructure Division. She also consulted for pharmaceutical and energy companies on strategic planning, capital raising, and partnership development.
