SUMMARY

  • Eindhoven-based Keiron Printing Technologies, a specialist in Laser-Induced Forward Transfer (LIFT) technology, has secured an additional €2.3 million in its Seed round, bringing the total funding raised to €10 million.

The investment was led by deep-tech venture capital firms DeepTechXL and Cottonwood Technology Fund, with additional participation from TNO Ventures and Innovation Credit.

Launched in 2022, DeepTechXL is backed by major partners including ASML, Philips, pension fund PME, Invest-NL, BOM, TNO, and several family offices. The firm takes a life cycle investment approach, supporting startups from seed stage through Series A/B/C, and helping chart a strategic path over a 5 to 10-year horizon.

“Keiron’s LIFT Solder paste printing approach offers a rare combination of flexibility, precision, and scalability,” said Guus Frericks, Partner at DeepTechXL.

“It’s the type of foundational innovation that will reshape how complex electronics are manufactured, while strengthening the technological sovereignty and security of both Europe and the United States,” adds Frericks.

The announcement follows a €1.5 million investment made six months ago by US-Dutch venture capital firm Cottonwood Technology Fund.

The new funding will support Keiron Printing Technologies in launching the world’s first industrialised HF2 LIFT Printer. The capital will be used to scale up production and fulfill system orders already secured across Europe and the US.

Additionally, the company is expanding its R&D and operational capabilities to further drive innovation in advanced electronics manufacturing.

“This round marks a breakthrough moment for Keiron,” says Paul Rooimans, CEO of Keiron Printing Technologies. “The new funding will fast-track the installation of Keiron’s first-of-its-kind industrialised system worldwide – the HF2 LiFT Printer, while expanding R&D and operations and scaling production to deliver multiple systems already secured by leading customers in Europe and the United States.”
