SUMMARY

  • Paris-based Homaio has raised €3.6 million in a funding round led by RAISE Ventures, with support from Groupe Eren, business angels, and existing investors XAnge and Redstone. This brings the company’s total funding to more than €5 million.

Founded in 2023, Homaio is an investment platform that gives retail investors access to the emissions allowance market, which has traditionally been open mainly to institutional players. These markets are important to climate policy and industrial change, especially in Europe.

The company creates financial products backed by carbon allowances, making it easier and regulated for individuals to invest in this market. Since launching, Homaio has attracted users in more than 30 countries and now manages several million euros in assets.

Valentin Lautier, founder of Homaio, said the energy transition is driven by capital allocation, with the company aiming to enable private investors to access the markets shaping this shift.

Homaio first focused on European carbon allowances, but it is now expanding into a wider range of markets connected to the energy transition, including international emissions systems and energy sectors linked to industrial decarbonisation.

The new funding will help the company improve its product and grow its offering beyond carbon allowances, with the aim of bringing more private investment into energy and industrial transition markets.

Homaio is a climate investment platform that helps individuals invest in assets designed to deliver both returns and environmental impact.

It opens access to compliance carbon markets, starting with European Union Allowances and expanding to other emissions trading systems, giving climate-conscious investors access to a new asset class.
