Barcelona-based habitacion.com secures €400k in pre - seed funding. SeedRocket, Spain's first technology-based startup accelerator, lead the operation with LANAI Partners and BeCapital Seed Money joining. SeedRocket's business angels network and other Spanish entrepreneurial luminaries also invested.
The funds will help habitacion.com flourish. The company will use half of the funds to fix operational and infrastructure difficulties and the other to test the business concept by selling the first rooms.

Oriol Valls, co-founder and CEO of habitacion.com, said: “We want to transform the way people save by offering customers to avoid rental costs and save money when buying a room. We are confident that this first financial transaction will allow us to expand our business and achieve our goals. In addition, very relevant figures in the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem have backed our project, a fact that reinforces our status and will help us to continue growing”.
After selling the first room in Terrassa, Barcelona, and validating the business model, the venture hopes to expand to Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Granada, and Alicante through several real estate enterprises.

To increase room supply, they are negotiating with various key partners. They expect habitacion.com to sell 40 rooms by 2024. Security and client benefits have been the startup's top priorities since its founding. The Land Registry registers room buyers as true owners of part of the asset, providing legal security. Buyers also sign a covenant to protect their interests and govern property use.
