German-founded Parloa, which builds AI voice agents for call centers, has raised $350 million in a Series D round, tripling its valuation to $3 billion in just seven months.

The Series D round was led by existing investor General Catalyst, with participation from other current backers including EQT Ventures, Altimeter Capital, Durable Capital Partners, and Mosaic Ventures.

Coming just seven months after a $120 million Series C at a $1 billion valuation, the Berlin-based startup’s rapid growth surprised even CEO and co-founder Malte Kosub, who shared his astonishment on LinkedIn about completing the Series D so soon.

Kosub said: "I didn’t expect to be writing about our Series D already today - just seven months after our $1bn Series C.

“Two funding rounds in less than a year reinforce what we are seeing every day. Agentic customer experience is no longer a nice-to-have.

"It is becoming the new standard. We are incredibly fortunate to be building at one of the fastest-moving and most exciting moments in the history of software.”

Parloa has raised over $560 million in under four years. The Berlin-based startup plans to use the funding for global expansion, focusing on the US and Europe, with offices in San Francisco and Madrid, a localised team in London, and a new US HQ in Manhattan.

Serving clients like Allianz, Booking.com, and SAP, Parloa operates in a competitive space alongside startups such as PolyAI. Its platform combines automated speech recognition and natural language understanding, allowing companies to create automated dialogues for phone, chat, voice assistants, and messaging all in one place. Parloa claims its AI can understand as many words and contexts as a human call center agent.
