German AI Startup Mercanis Secures €17.3 Million Series A Round For Its Agentic-AI Procurement Solution

The round was led by new investors Partech and AVP, with continued support from existing backers like Signals.VC, Capmont Technology, and Speedinvest. Several business angels—including Dr. Ulrich Piepel, Dr. Marcell Vollmer, Mirko Novakovic (Instana & Dash0), and Victor Jacobsson (Klarna)—also joined the round.

The platform uses intelligent agents to automate routine tasks, while AI continuously analyzes procurement data to identify savings, improve strategic decisions, and deliver real results.

According to the company, users see over 40% in process savings, a 2.5x boost in efficiency, and a 12x return on investment.

Mercanis offers four core modules: Spend Analytics, Sourcing & Request Processes (RFx), Supplier Management (SRM), and Contract Management.

It also features the Mercu AI Co-Pilot, which automates tasks like supplier discovery, risk detection, intake management, and offer comparison—powered by the company’s 40-member team.
