Fronted Raises €1.7Mn to Expand Its AI-Powered Global Employment Platform

Nordic HR technology startup Fronted has raised €1.7 million (NOK 18 million) in a seed funding round. The company will use the money to expand into international markets and improve its AI-powered platform for managing global employment operations.

  • Fronted raised €1.7 million in seed funding.
  • Kaknäs Invest led the round, with participation from Skagerak Capital, Antler and Sondo Capital.
  • Provides an AI-powered platform for global hiring, payroll and employment management.

Swedish investment firm Kaknäs Invest led the funding round, with participation from Skagerak Capital.

Existing investors Antler and Sondo Capital also took part in the round, alongside several new angel investors. The funding will help Fronted grow its business and further develop its technology.

Marius Blaker Høgevold, co-founder and CEO of Fronted, said, "We are building the invisible software layer that takes away the headache of cross-border administration, giving ambitious companies a trusted Nordic partner to scale globally with total transparency and ease."

Operating abroad should feel like operating at home.

Fronted was founded by Marius Blaker Høgevold, CEO, and Hans Nyvold Kjellby, Chairman and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). The company aims to make it easier for businesses to hire and manage employees across different countries.

Fronted offers a single platform that combines international recruitment, Employer of Record (EOR) services and company registration and management. This helps businesses handle their global hiring and employment needs through one provider.

The company uses technology to automate tasks such as payroll calculations, tax adjustments and employment contract preparation. This helps businesses reduce paperwork and spend less time on administrative work.

Fronted’s software includes local labour rules and regulations for different countries. This helps businesses manage compliance more easily, understand costs clearly and reduce the need for manual processes when hiring internationally.
