Forterro, a European industrial software company, has signed an agreement to acquire TARGIT, a business intelligence (BI) and analytics software firm based in Denmark.

Forterro focuses on providing software for mid-sized industrial businesses to help them improve operations and grow faster. This marks Forterro’s first acquisition in the BI space. With TARGIT’s analytics tools, Forterro plans to strengthen its ERP solutions and offer more value to its customers by adding advanced data insights and reporting capabilities.

TARGIT, founded in 1986 and based in Aalborg, Denmark, is best known for its TARGIT Decision Suite—an all-in-one business intelligence (BI) platform that simplifies reporting and supports data-driven decision-making. The platform is highly adaptable and widely used across industries such as manufacturing, retail, dealerships, and the public sector.

Jakob H. Kraglund will continue as CEO of TARGIT for the time being and is set to step down after the transition.

Forterro is acquiring TARGIT from GRO Capital, a Northern European private equity firm focused exclusively on B2B software companies. The deal is expected to close on 8 July 2025.
