SUMMARY
- Flox Intelligence, a wildlife intelligence company developing AI systems that help infrastructure prevent human-wildlife conflict, has raised a €2.5 million ($3 million) Seed+ round to accelerate deployments across North America.
The round was led by Tilia Impact Ventures, with participation from Satgana, GENIUS NY (operated by CenterState CEO), J.O.S.S., and existing investors Unconventional Ventures and Almi Invest.
Flox Intelligence was founded in 2020 by Nozkova and Tomas Becklin, emerging from an AI research lab at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. The company has recently relocated its commercial headquarters to the United States.
Flox is building AI-powered wildlife intelligence systems designed to enable coexistence between humans and wildlife. Its autonomous edge-deployed solutions use AI, bioacoustics, and applied wildlife science to guide wildlife behavior in real time. The technology helps prevent collisions, damage, and operational disruption across railways, airports, roads, agriculture, and industrial sites, with centralized reporting through the Flox Wildlife Platform.

The company aims to replace reactive and fragmented deterrents such as scarecrows, pyrotechnics, gunshots, and fencing with a proactive, autonomous prevention layer that continuously learns. Each deployment strengthens the system, contributing to one of the world’s largest non-lethal wildlife datasets and generating insights into how animals move and adapt around human infrastructure.
Flox highlights that human-wildlife conflict is already a multi-billion-euro global challenge, intensifying as urban expansion increases and transportation networks become faster and quieter. The company positions its adaptive learning-based approach as a scalable alternative to traditional tools that lack intelligence and long term effectiveness.
The new funding will accelerate Flox Intelligence’s deployments across North America while supporting rising international demand for its AI-powered wildlife deterrence platform. The company plans to expand implementations across airports, rail corridors, road networks, and industrial sites, scaling its technology to protect critical infrastructure worldwide.
Sara Nozkova, CEO and co-founder of Flox Intelligence, said, “The future of infrastructure safety will include wildlife intelligence by default. “For decades, we’ve relied on reactive tools from scare tactics to fences that don’t scale, don’t learn and don’t protect the corridors wildlife depends on. For so many years, we have been fighting wildlife, but what if we could communicate with them instead?
“Flox Intelligence is building a future where critical infrastructure can proactively prevent conflict, where animal movement is respected and safer, and where people and wildlife can finally coexist. Our goal is to make wildlife intelligence a standard layer of modern operations and to lead that category globally.”
