SUMMARY

  • EverWave, an Aachen-based clean water impact company, has closed a growth financing round to support its expansion into Southeast Asia, deliver scalable environmental solutions and reinforce its position as a leading European impact innovator.

The round included strategic investment from Viessmann Generations Group contributions from VC firm KSK Wagniskapital, and continued backing from existing shareholders like SistaAct. The European Social Innovation and Impact Fund also participated alongside capacura and NRW.BANK.

This funding equips EverWave to accelerate its mission and strengthen its international presence in sustainability-focused water technologies.

"This is the biggest round we have ever done and will enable us to scale our operations globally. This is exactly what we need, because waste in rivers is not waiting for us," shared Clemens Feigl, CEO & Co-founder of everwave, with EU-Startups.

Founded in 2018, everwave focuses on removing waste from waterways before it reaches the ocean. Using a combination of waste collection boats, floating barriers, and manual cleanups, the company leverages AI to detect and analyze trash more effectively.

To date, Everwave has removed over two million kilograms of waste from rivers in countries such as Thailand, Cambodia, and Albania. All collected waste is processed in an environmentally responsible way, contributing to cleaner ecosystems and more sustainable water systems.

"We are proud to welcome the Viessmann Generations Group and KSK-Wagniskapital GmbH as renowned investors in everwave," says Feigl. "This is an important signal to the market right now, as sustainability is at risk of falling out of focus in many places. There is a need for more impact companies that develop concrete solutions for global challenges. This funding will enable us to significantly expand our international activities."

everwave is also focused on developing local recycling infrastructure and increasing public awareness about pollution. By working with on-the-ground teams, the company not only drives impact but also creates local job opportunities.

Central to its model is a certified plastic credit system—each euro funds the removal of one kilogram of waste. This provides companies with a clear and transparent way to offset their plastic footprint and support meaningful environmental action.

“Our investment in everwave is another milestone in our efforts to promote pioneering solutions with real ecological added value,” says Max Viessmann, CEO and President of the Viessmann Generations Group. “Their practical and measurable approach to water purification not only reduces plastic waste, but also protects one of our most important resources: clean water. Together we are transforming responsibility into concrete action and shaping living spaces for future generations.”

With the new funding in place, everwave is set to grow its international presence, with additional projects planned across Southeast Asia. The strategic partnership with Viessmann will also help advance scalable, sustainable solutions to address global environmental challenges.

Meanwhile, Everwave continues to strengthen its role as a leading European impact company, focusing on water quality, waste management, and the circular economy.
