ENGO Wins €5.1 Mn Investment to Strengthen Sports

ENGO, a Grenoble-based startup, has raised €5.1 million in funding. The company develops smart, lightweight AR glasses with built-in displays for athletes.

The new funding will help ENGO strengthen its position in the sports smart eyewear market.

The investment round was led by Ventech, Odyssée Venture, and Bpifrance Amorçage Industriel, with Blueprint Partners supporting the company throughout its fundraising process.

Eric Marcellin-Dibon, CEO of ENGO, said, “Since ENGO’s inception, we have pursued a simple vision: enabling athletes to stay focused on their performance, not the technology. The lighter, more natural, and more intuitive our eyewear becomes, the closer we get to our goal: making the technology disappear in favour of the athletic experience.”

Fabrice Berger Duquene, COO of ENGO, said, “This fundraising round gives us the means to accelerate our development and solidify our leadership position in the sports smart eyewear segment. We are seeing growing adoption of our solutions by athletes – both amateur and professional – and now aim to take the next step in our international expansion.”

Founded in 2019 by Éric Marcellin-Dibon and Fabrice Berger Duquene, ENGO designs smart glasses for runners, helping them stay focused on their performance without distractions.

Its parent company, MICROOLED, develops and manufactures high-quality micro-displays used in smart glasses, scopes, night vision devices, viewfinders, and other advanced applications.
